PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a long-sized member assembling method and an assembling tool for use in the method for inexpensively constructing an assembled structure with a fine joint part by joining the end faces of long-sized members in the mutually butting state even in the case of using pipe members as the long-sized members. SOLUTION: The long-sized member assembling method and the assembling tool are provided for assembling a plurality of long-sized members 3 intersecting at predetermined angles, by joining them in the mutually butting state of the end faces. In the assembling method, the plurality of long-sized members 3 are supported by the assembling tool J capable of supporting them at the predetermined angles, and the assembling tool J is swung in vertical and lateral directions to adjust the attitudes of the long-sized members 3 and to butt-join the mutual end faces of the long-sized members 3. The tool comprises a tool body 10 having a support part 11 capable of supporting the plurality of long-sized members 3 at the predetermined angles, and a swing means Y for swinging the tool body 10 in the vertical and lateral directions.
