<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus which prevents pickup of dust into images to be inputted to the imaging apparatus, obtains high-quality images at lower cost and extends maintenance period of cleaning for dust. <P>SOLUTION: A thin-film ensuring super-volatility is formed to an optical low-pass filter 38 allocated in the front surface side of an imaging element 18. The thin-film having super-volatility has an effect of preventing adhesion of floating dusts (floating particle substances), so as to prevent pickup of dust adhering to the surface of the optical low-pass filter 38 into the photographed images.
