<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which can suppress the relative positional deviation of a plurality of photosensors which are disposed side by side so as to detect the optical properties of the surface of an intermediate transfer belt 8 at places different from each other in a direction perpendicular to the moving direction of the intermediate transfer belt 8. <P>SOLUTION: The opening H of a housing 50 is provided so that a part of the surface of the intermediate transfer belt 8 in its moving direction is exposed to the whole area in the direction perpendicular to the moving direction. In the housing 50, one end side in the sensor arrangement direction of an optical sensor unit 150 having the plurality of photosensors not shown in the figure is fixed to a first fixture 251 which is exposed to the outside through the vicinity of one end of the opening H in the direction perpendicular to the moving direction of the belt. Further, in the housing 50, the other end side in the sensor arrangement direction of the optical sensor unit 150 is fixed to a second fixture which is not shown by the figure and is exposed to the outside through the vicinity of the other end of the opening H in the direction perpendicular to the moving direction of the belt. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
