ENHANCED WAP PROXY WITH SUPPORTING WP-TCP

An enhanced WAP proxy supporting WP-TCP is provided to solve a problem about the reduction of performance in a router environment of an asymmetry band by transmitting TCP data. A WAP(Wireless Application Protocol) proxy includes an IP(Internet Protocol) hierarchy(130) and wireless hierarchies(140,150) connected to a certain server(100) via a cable and wirelessly connected to a wireless hierarchy of a WAP terminal so that the server is directly connected to the WAP terminal. If the IP hierarchy receives a packet, the IP hierarchy updates status information of the WAP proxy with reference to a TCP(Transmission Control Protocol) header, and transmits the packet through the wireless hierarchy.
