A coating apparatus and a method for manufacturing an LCD using the same are provided to uniformly spread a coating solution onto a surface of an object to be coated, by making the coating solution flow uniformly with a slit nozzle. A coating apparatus comprises a slit nozzle(240) and a driver for moving the slit nozzle in a predetermined direction. The slit nozzle includes a nozzle body(241) having a containing space for containing a coating solution, an inlet(246) formed at an upper portion of the nozzle body, and an outlet(242) formed at a lower portion of the nozzle body. The coating solution flows into the slit nozzle body through the inlet, and flows out the slit nozzle through the outlet. The slit nozzle further includes a member formed in the nozzle body, wherein the member makes the coating solution flow uniformly. |
