<p>A biosensor capable of measuring the total concentration of multiple amino acids with the use of a single polar plate system. There is provided amino acid biosensor (200) for measuring the total concentration of multiple specified amino acids, comprising counter electrode (203) and measuring electrode (202) having, as constituent factors, mediators as well as enzymes selectively utilizing the multiple specified amino acids as substrates, wherein the enzymes have respective substrate affinities with the multiple specified amino acids and produce reaction products by reactions with the specified amino acids as substrates, wherein the mediators transport electrons between the reaction products and the measuring electrode at the measuring of amino acid concentrations, and wherein applied voltages at measuring between the counter electrode and measuring electrode of the amino acid biosensor include such an applied voltage that on a working curve representing the relationship between current value and applied voltage with respect to each of the multiple specified amino acids, the distribution of current value at unchanged applied voltage as to individual amino acids falls within a given scope.</p> |
