A previous music reproducing method in a multimedia apparatus is provided to allow the multimedia apparatus to find out previously reproduced music with one remote control key even in any state and to enter a music list so as to immediately reproduce the found music. When a previous music reproducing command is inputted by a user, a multimedia apparatus decides whether the current state is a music reproducible state(S300,S302). If so, the apparatus checks previous music reproduction validity information stored in a main memory, and decides whether corresponding music is reproducible(S304). If so, the apparatus reads previous music reproducing information in an HDD(Hard Disk Drive), and decides whether a corresponding music file exists in a reproduction mode by using the corresponding reproduction mode within the previous music reproducing information(S306,S308). If so, the apparatus converts the current mode as the previous music reproducing information, and reproduces the corresponding music by moving to a corresponding path(S310,S312).
