The method for X-ray diagnosis of cancer in cardia of the stomach with the flexure consists of the following steps: Upon the filling of the upper bowl of the stomach with the X-ray opaque substance, the upper level of the opaque substance is detected and the extent of the flexure is assessed (grade I corresponds to 5-cm level, grade II corresponds to 10-cm level, grade III corresponds to 15-cm level, grade IV corresponds to the level exceeding 15 cm. The preliminary assessment of the probable pathology is performed, the flexure is straightened, the state of the folds is controlled visually, and then the diagnostic conclusion is drawn.
