<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a degree of freedom in a relative position between a coil and an arithmetic circuit by separating both. <P>SOLUTION: The coils 58, 60 which detect relative revolution displacement between an input shaft 52 and an output shaft 54 being connected to each other through a torsion bar 56 and output a detection signal, and the arithmetic circuit 62 which calculates a steering torque based on the detection signal detected by each coil 58, 60 are arranged separately to each other. Each coil 58, 60 and the arithmetic circuit 62 are connected through electric wires 68, 69, respectively.
