METHOD FOR DETECTING ANAPLASMATACEAE USING PCR-RFLP

A method for identifying and detecting Anaplasmataceae family bacteria is provided to be able to easily and rapidly detect and identify the bacteria belonging to the Anaplasmataceae family without culturing process through PCR-RFLP technique. The method comprises the steps of: (a) amplifying a DNA of a sample extracted from an animal suspected to be infected by bacteria belonging to Anaplasmataceae family using a primer pair derived from a nucleotide sequence of groEL gene; and (b) treating the amplified product with NIaIII restriction enzyme to identify the size of the DNA fragment. In the step(a), the amplification is performed by using a primer pair described as SEQ ID : NOs. 1 and 2 and then using a primer pair described as SEQ ID : NOs. 3 and 4.
