摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve inspection accuracy at lighting inspection of a plasma display panel. SOLUTION: This is an lighting inspection method of a plasma display panel in which a plurality of cells are formed at the 3-dimensional crossing parts of electrodes formed in row direction and electrodes formed in column direction, one field is constituted using a plurality of sub-fields having an address period for generating address discharge by impressing writing pulse voltage and a discharge sustaining period for lighting cells by generating sustaining discharge, and gradient display is performed by combination of the sub-fields for lighting the cells. In at least one sub-field, a writing pulse voltage is impressed on an inspection object cell (G cell 14) and the writing pulse voltage is not impressed on the cells adjoining in a prescribed direction (R cell, B cell) to the inspection object cell.
