A method for testing a mobile terminal is provided to shorten the time required for developing a terminal by downloading an initialization code to the terminal from an external source and using it to test a desired function of the terminal. A terminal software in which an initialization code corresponding to a function of a terminal is declared as a variable is mounted in the terminal. A code input unit sets a variable value of the initialization code corresponding to the arbitrary function. The code input unit transmits the set variable value to the terminal. The terminal executes the corresponding function by reflecting the variable value in the terminal software. The terminal displays the execution results.
