A display device and a driving apparatus thereof are provided to prevent an afterimage or blurring by improving luminance and obtaining an impulsive driving effect by converting input image data into plural output image data. A display device includes a plurality of pixels(PX) arranged in a matrix form; a signal control unit(600) for converting input image signals(R,G,B) of a first frequency into plural output image signals of a second frequency and then outputting the output image signals; a gradation voltage generating unit(800) for generating plural gradation voltages corresponding to respective output image signals; and a data driving unit(500) for selecting each data signal corresponding to the output image signals from one gradation voltage group and applying the selected signal to the pixel.
