PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce occurrence of flaws on an optical disk due to collision between an objective lens or an objective lens collision preventing protector part and an optical disk, to reduce adhesion of the protector surface layer material to the optical disk due to flaws or abrasion of the optical disk, to reduce also the adhesion of dust in atmosphere to the optical disk or the objective lens due to static electricity, to stably perform reading of data from the optical disk and writing of data in the optical disk over a long period while reducing errors.

SOLUTION: An objective lens holder 32 has one or more objective lenses 24 for converging laser light onto the optical disk 1, at least one or more objective lens collision preventing protector parts 32b are disposed on the periphery of the objective lens 24 and a protector surface layer material having dynamic viscoelasticity of ≥1.0×103Pa and <2.9×107Pa in atmosphere of at least 20 to 80°C is formed on the surface layer of the objective lens collision preventing protector part 32b.
