A transflective LCD and a fabricating method thereof are provided to carry out phase delay for light reflected to the outside by first and third QWPs(Quarter Wave Plates) properly for wavelength characteristics of R,G,B color filters, thereby improving screen quality. A transflective LCD includes a color filter substrate(150) and a TFT substrate(140) facing each other. First to third QWPs(145a-145c) are respectively formed on reflection areas(RA) of red, blue and green pixel areas of the TFT substrate. All QWPs have different phase delay values from each other. When external light is introduced to the reflection areas of the R,G,B pixel areas, the QWPs phase-delay the external light by 1/4lambda for R,G,B color filters of the color filter substrate. |
