PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively provide an electromotive cutter capable of performing edge cutting work. SOLUTION: The electromotive cutter has an electromotor, a grasping part 11 having the electromotor built therein, an electromotive grinder having the spindle 12 rotationally driven by the electromotor, the edge tool 20 attached to the spindle 12, the arm 14 detachable with respect to the electromotive grinder, a saw cover 30, which supports the arm 14 centering around the shaking shaft 50 in a shakable manner and covers at least a part of the edge tool 20 and the base 40 connected to the saw cover 30 and having the bottom surface 40a shakable on the material to be cut and the side surface 40b crossing the bottom surface 40a at a right angle. When the electromotive grinder is shaken centering around the shaking shaft 50, the edge tool 20 can be protruded from the vicinity of the crossing part of the imaginary surface including the bottom surface 40a of the base 40 and the imaginary surface including the side surface 40b of the base 40.
