<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply unit capable of significantly utilizing power stored in a secondary battery. <P>SOLUTION: This power supply unit includes: the secondary battery ( secondary battery 30) for outputting DC power; a switching device (switching circuit 40f) for converting the DC power supplied from the secondary battery into AC power; a controller (reference voltage determination circuit 40c, triangular wave generation circuit 40d, reference voltage generation circuit 40e, PWM circuit 40g, compensation circuit 40h, subtraction circuit 40i) for controlling a voltage of the AC power outputted from the switching device so as to be a determined target value.
