PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect an external diaphragm from damage without impairing its function. SOLUTION: In this protective structure of the external diaphragm of a stirring apparatus in a tank, the stirring apparatus 4 in the tank comprises a jet passage 57 through which discharge flow flows; a valve storage part 51; a jet hole 58; a lower diaphragm 48 partitioning the valve storage part 51 from a lower oil chamber 52 and deformed to recede into the valve storage part 51 side according to pressure in the valve storage part 51; an upper diaphragm 53 deformed to recede inside the upper oil chamber 54 through oil, interlocked with the deformation of the lower diaphragm 48; and a ball valve 49 stored in the valve storage part 51 and closing the jet hole 58 by the deformation of the lower diaphragm 48. The protective structure of the external diaphragm comprises a protective cover 47 for covering the upper diaphragm 53, and the protective cover 47 is provided with a plurality of communicating holes 47c, 47c for communication between the interior and exterior.
