PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem such that a conventional marketed spin-trapping agent, DMPO (5,5-dimethylpyrroline N-oxide) is not sufficient enough for trapping especially a superoxide anion radical, although its spectrum is simple and easy for analyzing. SOLUTION: This new reagent exhibits its power for trapping especially the superoxide anion radical. By the reagent, it becomes possible to perform measurements in an organic solvent, and also measure an oil soluble substance of which antioxidation activity can not be measured sufficiently because it is possible only in an aqueous solution. Also, since it is preserved stably in a room temperature, the handling of the reagent becomes simple by leaps and bounds. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
