PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foliage treatment machine equipped with a mechanism for keeping the angle of a ridge-pressing plate constant even in shake of a foliage pulling part since when a foliage pulling part follows a ridge and is shaken, the ridge-pressing plate attached to the front under side is inclined to a ridge surface, a ridge collapses, ridge press becomes loose and potatoes are possibly pulled out. SOLUTION: The ridge-pressing mechanism has constitution that the front part of a ridge-pressing body is rotatably attached to the front edge part of the foliage pulling part, one end of a connection rod is attached to the rear end of the ridge-pressing body, one end of an elastic body is attached to the other end of the connection rod, the fitting part of a rod holder having an opening part and the fitting part is rotatably attached to a machine body, the elastic body is inserted from the opening part and connected to the machine body coaxially with the rod holder, the connection rod is equipped with a latching projection part and the latching projection part is latched to the insertion hole of the rod holder.
