COOLING FAN CONTROL METHOD FOR OPTICAL DISC DRIVE SYSTEM

A method for controlling a cooling fan of an optical disc drive system is provided to allow a user to voluntarily set the on or off of the cooling fan by providing a user menu for allowing the user to set the operation of the cooling fan. A PC control unit displays a cooling fan manual setup picture having a fan-on button for turning on a cooling fan by the request of a user and a fan-off button for turning off the cooling fan(S100,S110,S120). The PC control unit turns on or off the cooling fan according to a fan-on command or a fan-off command inputted by the user on the displayed cooling fan manual setup picture(S130,S140).
