There is provided a service use device capable of automatically storing user identification information consisting of a user input pattern and network use setting information as is needed and comparing it with the past user identification information, thereby detecting a user change. When a user change is detected, it is possible to automatically erase user information consisting of a user ID and a password stored in a RAM (20), a bookmark stored in a hard disc drive (21), and the like. Thus, it is possible to prevent leak of the user information.
