PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner having a centrifugal separation type dust collector and a dust collecting filter and capable of suppressing the generation of the leakage of an air flow. SOLUTION: Even if the air flow passing through the dust collector 17 contains slightly light dust and fine dust, the air flow passes from a connecting port 22 provided in the side face 17A of the dust collector 17 through a detour passage 20 having no joining part and is lead to a dust collecting bag 19 so as to retain the high dust collecting performance. The joining parts themselves are few so as to reduce the possibility of lowering the dust collecting performance caused by sucking the dust in the atmosphere and accumulating it in the joining parts.
