The road vehicle has a bumper arrangement composed of a crossways bumper bearer clad by a cover and on the bumper bearer (4) are support components (20) which extend upwards over the bumper bearer, which are completely clad by the pre-located cover. Each support component is firmly or releasably connected with the bumper bearer. The bumper bearer (4) in an upper area on the side facing the cover (5) has an upwardly extending, crossways running, profiled holding flange (17), on which the support components are displaceable from the side and securable in the required position.
