PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly detach a carrier strap from the body in a state of hanging the carrier strap of a rifle on the body to allow rifle operation to cope with a close combat. SOLUTION: The carrier strap 1 for the rifle has a rifle hanging strap part 2 extending along the rifle 50, and a hanging strap part 3 hung on the body. One end of the carrier strap 1 is provided with a muzzle side carrier strap latch 6 hooked to the muzzle side of the rifle 50, and the other end is provided with a breech side carrier strap latch 7 hooked to the breech side of the rifle. The hanging strap part 3 is composed of a breech side hanging strap part 11 and a muzzle side hanging strap part 10, and the breech side hanging strap part 11 and the muzzle side hanging strap part 10 are connected through a quick buckle 12. A detachable buckle 25 is interposed at the muzzle side hanging strap part 10, and a hanging strap part 10b between the buckle 25 and the quick buckle 12 is provided with a connecting metal fitting 30 connected to the rifle hanging strap part 2.
