PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an industrial anti-microbial composition which protects aqueous compositions such as a starch slurry and a resin emulsion from their decays by microorganisms such as bacteria or fungi over long periods, and does substantially contain a halogen. SOLUTION: This industrial anti-microbial composition is characterized by containing methylenebisthiocyanate and 1,2-benzisothiazolin-3-one and further containing one or more compounds represented by general formula (1) (R is a≤8C alkyl; X groups are each H, or may be bound to each other to form an aromatic ring).
