PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a center bearing fitted to a propeller shaft from falling off while easing the machining accuracy of an insertion portion between the propeller shaft and a stopper piece for positioning the center bearing in a propeller shaft supporting structure. SOLUTION: In the propeller shaft supporting structure for supporting the propeller shaft 10 via the center bearing 20 on the inside of an inner collar 31 of an annular supporting member 30, the stopper piece 40 for colliding into an end face of an inner ring 21 of the center bearing 20 and positioning the center bearing 20 in the axial direction is inserted and fitted to the propeller shaft 10, a cover for supporting, in the axial direction, the colliding end of the stopper piece 40 to the inner ring 21 and the other end of the stopper piece 40 on the opposite side is mounted on the propeller shaft 10, and a mounting portion of the cover 50 to the propeller shaft 10 is fastened to the propeller shaft 10 by a band 60.
