PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for storing a polyester that is derived from biomass resources and is reduced in coloration with impurities or decomposition by light when a dicarboxylic acid and/or a diol derived from the biomass resources are used as raw materials for the polyester. SOLUTION: In the storing method of the polyester manufactured by a reaction of the dicarboxylic acid with the diol, the dicarboxylic acid and/or the diol are those obtained from the biomass resources and the polyester is stored under a light-shielded condition.
