PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a housing for a fluid bearing device with improved adhesiveness to other members at a low cost. SOLUTION: The housing 7 constructing the fluid bearing device 1 is formed by a resin composition with polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) as a base resin. The mixing rate of the base resin in the resin composition is set to 40 vol% or more and 70 vol% or less. 10 vol% or more and 35 vol% or less of carbon fibers are contained in the resin composition including the base resin. Further, in the resin composition including the base resin and the carbon fibers, an inorganic compound is mixed so that the balance of the resin composition excluding the base resin and the carbon fibers is the inorganic compound.
