PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve weight reduction and cost reduction, to enhance the appearance of an outer peripheral terminal part and to simplify terminal treatment work in a manufacturing method of a trim element for a car. SOLUTION: The door trim upper 20 in a two-tone type door trim 10 comprises a foamed resin base material 21 having lightweight properties and shape retention, the resin ribs 22 integrated with the inner surface side of the foamed resin base material 21 and the decorative material 23 laminated on the surface of the foamed resin base material 21. Accordingly, weight reduction and cost reduction are achieved by the use of the lightweight foamed resin base material 21 and the reduction of the projection areas of the resin ribs 22. Further, a polyfunctional block 50 is arranged to a molding upper mold 41 in order not only to facilitate the setting work of a decorative material 23 but also to certainly hold the decorative material 23 and a shear edge part A is formed between the polyfunctional block 50 and a molding lower mold 42 while the edge material 21a in the foamed resin base material 21 is cut off to efficiently perform terminal treatment.
