PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for controlling a doorway for pets designed to open and close the doorway only for specific pets and know the present state of going in and out and the conditions of changes thereof such as whether each of a plurality of reared pets is present in either of the inside and the outside of a room. SOLUTION: The system for controlling the doorway for the pets is obtained as follows. Readers for reading ID data from each IC tag mounted on the pet body are provided on the entrance side and the exit side of the doorway for the pets to judge whether or not the doorway for the pets can be opened on the basis of the ID data read by the readers. When the judgment on the opening of the doorway can be made, the doorway for the pets is kept in an unlocked state to detect the distinction between going in and out of the pets based on the passage of time to read the ID data by the readers on the entrance side and the exit side. The names of the pets and the distinction between going in and out thereof are correspondingly displayed and the conditions of the changes thereof are stored. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
