PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter frame body and a filter unit of a high catching performance, low pressure loss and a long service life, in which a filter medium can be easily attached to the filter frame body when newly using the filter unit and the filter medium can be easily detached and re-attached from/to the filter frame body when washing and recycling. SOLUTION: The filter medium is attached to the filter frame body provided with an upper frame and a lower frame which can be fitted to each other and provided with a plurality of beams on the upper frame and the lower frame respectively at positions not to interfere with each other when fitted, and a pleat shape is formed while making the filter medium alternately pass through the beams provided on the upper frame and lower frame of the filter frame body to attain the filter unit.
