Co-Cr ALLOY PELLET AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Co-Cr alloy pellet for dental casting by which easier and more stable nitriding can be attained and also to provide its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the Co-Cr alloy pellet for dental casting comprises a sintering step where raw-material powder is compacted into pellet state and the resultant green compact is sintered to obtain a sintered compact of 60 to 92% sintered density and a nitriding step where the sintered compact is nitrided under the atmosphere in which nitrogen is present. In this manufacturing method, it is preferable that sintering temperature in the sintering step ranges from 900 to 1,350°C and also nitriding temperature in the nitriding step ranges from 700 to 1,100°C.
