PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide simple-structured furniture, excellent in the earthquake resistance, capable of being flexibly applied to the gap space between the floor and the ceiling, which is widely varied in most houses and buildings, and being easily handled. SOLUTION: The furniture comprises a body 1, whose ceiling face is open, with doors 2a and 2b on the front surface, and an inner box 10 whose bottom is open. The inner box 10 is formed with such outer dimensions as can be inserted into the body 1, and comprises a ceiling material 14, a rear panel material 13, left and right side panel materials 12a and 12b, and a front panel material 11 at the upper end in the front. The inner box 10 is set in the body 1 with the ceiling material 14 facing upward, and is moved in the vertical direction according to the gap space.
