<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus with improved installation stability when a main body cover, etc., of the apparatus is opened. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes image forming engines 2 (2a to 2d) sequentially forming respective color toner images on recording material inside an apparatus housing 1. The image forming apparatus is provided with a recording material supplying unit 3 provided to be movable by being pulled out from a reference position of the apparatus housing 1 and which can supply the recording material, a main body cover 4 provided to a reference position on one side of the apparatus housing 1, which can be opened and moved in the same direction as the direction of the move by being pulled out of the recording material supplying unit 3 and a movement selecting mechanism 5 by which while restraining one of the recording material supplying unit 3 and the main body cover 4 to the reference position, movement of the other is made possible. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
