A retaining device (1) for sliding bodies or masses comprising a catch netting (2), which is peripherally fastened to a framework, which is in turn provided with a plurality of bearing rod-like elements (4a, 4b, 4c, 4d) that are fastened to each other (8a, 8b, 10) at a mutual coupling point or area, as well as means (6, 11) for anchoring this framework to the ground.
