LIGHT GUIDE PLATE, BACK LIGHT ASSEMBLY AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY APPARATUS HAVING THE SAME

A light guiding plate, a backlight assembly, and an LCD having the same are provided to remove bright lines and dark lines generated in the vicinity of an incident surface of the light guiding plate, by forming a groove in the incident surface along a long side direction of the incident surface. A light guiding plate comprises an upper surface(330), a lower surface(320) corresponding to the upper surface, and side surfaces(310) for connecting the upper surface and the lower surface. A groove(312) is formed in at least one of the side surfaces. The groove is extended in parallel with the upper surface and the lower surface. The groove is closer to the upper surface than to the lower surface.
