A color photographic material which contains on a support at least one blue-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer containing at least one yellow coupler, at least one green-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer containing at least one magenta coupler, at least one red-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer containing at least one cyan coupler, together with customary non-light-sensitive layers, characterized in that at least one layer contains a compound of formula (I) or (II) wherein the R<SUB>1</SUB>-radicals and R<SUB>2</SUB>-radicals are preferably methyl; and wherein the compounds of formula (II) are preferably (III) R<SUB>3 </SUB>is a radical -CH(CH<SUB>3</SUB>)-X-D, wherein X is phenylene. D is a group (IV) or a group -C(O)-C<SUB>1</SUB>-C<SUB>18</SUB>alkyl or a group -O-CH<SUB>2</SUB>-CH(OH)-CH<SUB>2</SUB>-NR<SUB>12</SUB>R<SUB>13</SUB>, with R<SUB>12 </SUB>and R<SUB>13 </SUB>being C<SUB>1</SUB>-C<SUB>18</SUB>alkyl or together form a 4 to 8 membered ring as defined in claim 1, or D is a group -O-CH<SUB>2</SUB>-CH(OH)-CH<SUB>2</SUB>-N(R<SUB>12</SUB>)-CH<SUB>2</SUB>-CHOH-CH<SUB>2</SUB>-O-or -O-CH<SUB>2</SUB>-CH(OH)-CH<SUB>2</SUB>-W-CH<SUB>2</SUB>-CHOH-CH<SUB>2</SUB>-O- with W being a divalent amino group (-N(C<SUB>1</SUB>-C<SUB>18</SUB>alkyl)-), a polyamine residue, a polyethyleneimine residue or a polyoxyalkyleneamine residue; Z and Z' are for example C<SUB>1</SUB>-C<SUB>12</SUB>alkyl, C<SUB>3</SUB>-C<SUB>12</SUB>alkenyl, C<SUB>3</SUB>-C<SUB>12</SUB>alkenyl, C<SUB>5</SUB>-C<SUB>8</SUB>cycloalkyl, or Z and Z' together bivalent groups such as -CH<SUB>2</SUB>-CH<SUB>2</SUB>- or -CH<SUB>2</SUB>-C(R<SUB>18</SUB>)(R<SUB>19</SUB>)-CH(R<SUB>20</SUB>)-
