OPENING AND CLOSING DEVICE FOR LUGGAGE PANEL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an opening and closing device for a luggage panel capable of securing an optimum minimum angle between the first and second links by decreasing a load occurred due to a design change while utilizing an existing hinge arm.

SOLUTION: An opening and closing mechanism 11 comprises a hinge arm 21 with one side end portion 21a supported in a freely rotatable manner by a car body 10 and other side end portion 21b extended outwardly from an opening 10a, where a luggage panel 12 is provided; an adjusting member 22 fixed to a hinge arm inside the opening; a torsion bar link 23; a drive unit 24 having an output shaft 24a and supported by the car body; the first link 25 coupled to the output shaft in a manner permitting the rotation together with the output shaft; and the second link 26 with one side end portion 26a supported in a freely rotatable manner by the first link and also with another side end portion 26b supported in a freely rotatable manner by the adjusting member 22.
