<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intermediate transfer type thermal transfer printer capable of adequately transferring an image to a recording medium insusceptible of temperature of the recording medium. <P>SOLUTION: This intermediate transfer type thermal transfer printer 1 forms an image on a film F and presses the film F against a card S to retransfer the image on the surface of the card S by heating a heat roller 23. The printer 1 comprises a halogen lamp 25 for heating the heat roller 23, a temperature sensor 61 for sensing the temperature of the card S before the film F is pressed, and a roller temperature control section 53 for calculating a target value based on the temperature of the card S to control the halogen lamp 25 so as to allow the temperature of the heat roller 23 to be in the target value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
