PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a canned linear motor armature and a canned linear motor wherein a temperature rise on the armature surface can be reduced without increasing the thickness of the canned linear motor armature. SOLUTION: The canned linear motor armature includes a three-phase armature winding 105, an enclosure 101 so provided that the armature winding 105 is encircled with it like a picture frame, and a plate-like can 102a for the enclosure that closes both openings of the enclosure 101.
