PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure sufficient rigidity of a circumference while improving freedom of a shape in a plan view of a storage part of an opening/closing type roof. SOLUTION: This vehicle body rear structure of a vehicle forming a closed cross-section by providing a belt line reinforcement and an inner panel on left and right side parts of the storage part in which the opening and closing type roof is stored and continued to the closed cross-section of a rear deck member of a rear part constitutes its characteristic feature of connecting the belt line reinforcement and the rear deck member to each other and connecting each of the inner panel and the rear deck member to each other at least partially by a connecting member which is a separate body from the inner panel and the rear deck member.
