PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spare lead container, which is easy for use, has a simple structure and, at the same time is advantageous on manufacturing cost as compared with many spare lead containers on the market. SOLUTION: In this spare lead container 1, two of a small and a large vertical spare lead through-holes 12a and 13a are provided at the left and the right of the top walls 6a and 7a of box-like bodies 6 and 7 forming a lead housing part 19. At the same time, at the top walls 6a and 7a, a pair of supporting pieces 8 and 9 are provided in upright separated from each other in before and after. A lead discharging part 3 having a horizontal spare lead passage 15 is journaled pivotably about a longitudinal axis line. When the lead discharging part 3 is pivoted by 90 degrees clockwise, one spare lead through-hole 12a between the spare lead through-holes communicates with the spare lead passage 15, while, when the lead discharge part 3 is pivoted by 90 degrees counterclockwise, the other spare lead through-hole 13a communicates with the spare lead passage 15.
