PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set an appropriate recording condition to perform recording in response to an inspection result by inspecting not only a difference in the composition and structure state of a recording film in an optical disk but a defect, stain, bend, or distortion, etc., before video-recording. SOLUTION: An optical disk recorder capable of recording information relative to the optical disk fixes an area to be inspected, based on a video-recording reservation content, inspects/evaluates a disk state which affects recording quality in the video-recording object area of the disk to be recorded, sets recording, based on the result, and sets a recording speed, servo control, and a recording position so as to perform recording.
