PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device control system capable of remotely controlling a device even through a network without bothering a user indoors. SOLUTION: A portable terminal device 2c requests user interface information by adding its own device ID to a recording reproduction device 106 to be controlled (S21). The recording reproduction device 106 inquires the device ID of the portable terminal device 2c to a position detecting unit 1c of the room where the own device is installed (S22). By referring, for the inquired device ID, to other position detecting units 1a, 1b (S23), the position detecting unit 1c answers to the recording reproduction unit 106 region where the portable communication device 2 of the device ID exists (S24). The recording reproduction device 106 transmits the user interface information corresponding to the region, where the portable terminal device 2 exists, after it is received from the position detecting unit 1c (S25).
