A level shift circuit for shifting both of high and low potential levels of an input voltage, a micro-actuator using the level shift circuit, and an optical switch. A CMOS inverter (11) connected to a +5V power supply and to a 0V power supply provides, in response to an input signal, output voltages having an H-level of +5V and an L-level of 0V. A single-channel MOS inverter (12) connected to a +15V power supply and to the 0V power supply provides, in response to the output voltages of the CMOS inverter (11), output voltages having an H- level of +15V and an L-level of 0V. A single-channel MOS inverter (13) connected to the +15V power supply and to a -15V power supply provides output voltages having an H-level of +15V and an L-level of -15V. The inverter (12) has, as a driving element, an NMOS transistor (Q4). The inverter (13) has, as a driving element, an opposite conductive type of PMOS transistor (Q5).
