<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow for quick and appropriate maintenance work by informing a maintenance provider of the accurate condition of equipment targeted for maintenance. <P>SOLUTION: Abnormalities of the maintenance object equipment are detected by an abnormality detecting means 11, an image of the equipment is photographed by a photographing means 12, and supplemental information required for maintenance is generated by a supplemental information generating means 13. Maintenance information consisting of the image information and the supplemental information is transmitted from a maintenance information transmission means 14 to a maintenance information receiving means 15 and displayed on a maintenance information display means 16.
