摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel assembly test system and fuel assembly test method capable of accurately measuring infinitesimal deformation of the fuel assembly due to radiation irradiation by avoiding deformation by pressing of contact probe in a contact type testing technique of fuel assemblies. SOLUTION: An underwater test system 3 and a unit for process control 4 are provided. The underwater test system 3 comprises a sensor mechanism 8 for measuring the distance between a contact probe and a reference point member or the distance between two contact probes, a contact probe drive mechanism air cylinder 9, and a press pressure maintaining mechanism 10 for maintaining constant the press pressure of the contact probe 9. The unit 4 for process control has data of the press pressure which the press pressure maintaining mechanism 10 maintains and the deformation due to the press pressure of the test part of the fuel assembly 2. It also has a dimension correction means for outputting correction dimension in which the deformation due to the press pressure is removed from the distance that the sensor mechanism 8 of the underwater test system detected by inputting the distance that the sensor mechanism 8 of the underwater test system detected and by using the data of the press pressure and the deformation of the fuel assembly 2.
