A golf putter head is provided to guide more easily a moving direction of a golf ball in a desired target direction when a golfer putts the golf ball, and to enable a beginner to play a golf without difficulty. The golf putter head includes a groove(40) formed on a front surface(11) thereof so as to receive at least a part of a golf ball(50) when a golfer putts the golf ball, for guiding a moving direction of the golf ball in a target direction. The groove includes a parallel surface(44') formed on the inside end part thereof in parallel to the front surface and a pair of inclined surfaces(42',43') formed on the inner both sides of an entrance thereof so as to guide the moving direction of the golf ball in a swing direction of the head.
