<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cap for a writing utensil which is free from a gap between the boundary stepped part of an ornamental ring and the matching aperture side fore end edge of a lid body and can simply fit an engagement cylinder and the ornamental ring to the lid body. <P>SOLUTION: In the cap for a writing utensil wherein the engaging cylinder with an inward facing projection for engaging the writing utensil main body with the inner surface is fitted to the inner surface of the lid body and the ornamental ring is fitted to the matching aperture side fore end edge of the lid body, an interposingly pressed stepped part and an inward facing tilting surface are formed in the engaging cylinder. The boundary stepped part and an outward facing surface are formed in the ornamental ring. The ornamental ring abuts the boundary stepped part on the matching aperture side fore end edge of the lid body to fit the outward facing tilting surface to the lid body, with the outward facing tilting surface being in press contact to the inward facing tilting surface of the engaging cylinder. The engaging cylinder has the interposingly pressed stepped part which abuts on the interposing pressing stepped part of the lid body to be held and pressed between the interposingly pressing stepped part and the outward facing tilting surface of the ornamental ring. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
